As an acclaimed and accomplished residential Interior Designer, Rachel Duarte strives to create unique interiors. Balancing creativity with careful planning, her organized approach to every project produces impressive results leaving a positive impact on her clients' lives.
With more than 20 years of experience, Rachel possesses a passion to create uniquely beautiful and functional environments.
Rachel was privileged to work with some of the very best design firms in Los Angeles. The invaluable mentoring and experience has paved the way to her own successful designing career. Taking on many roles for special projects such as Project Manager, Senior Designer and Principle Designer for her own firm, she has successfully tackled many complex and large scale residential construction projects.
Working closely with architects, builders and developers, Rachel has created homes for personal client's as well as the market place. She coordinates architectural details and custom construction elements that are timeless and reflect her client's personal style.
Rachel's ability to develop relationships based on respect, trust and confidence is key to her success. She is skilled in creating designs for a variety of project sizes and budgets. Working closely with the client and the construction team is extremely important to her throughout the entire process. Rachel is committed to cultivating valued relationships and achieving the best version of her client's personal needs and vision.
Personal
Rachel is a Texas native who moved to Pasadena, California in 1997. There, she discovered a way to pursue her career and newfound love for living on the west coast without leaving her Southern roots behind. Growing up in a family of antique dealers and fine art collectors, interior design and architecture have always been a passion of hers. This paved the way for her unique style and creativity of meshing elegance with functionality, while complimenting the personality and lifestyle of her clients.
In her spare time, she enjoys the city's culture, art and food scene as well as traveling for experiences and inspiration.
I believe the most important element to the design process is a comprehensive understanding of the needs of the client and their expectations.
